Guns N’ Roses will perform at Parc Jean-Drapeau on August 8 as part of a world tour that begins in June. The show will take place on August 8, 31 years to the day after the famous Olympic Stadium riot.
Axl Rose’s group has performed several times in Quebec since that date, which marked the annals of Montreal rock, but the singer was sometimes surrounded by musicians hired for the occasion.
This time, all Guns N’Roses core musicians will be on stage, Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Slash and Dizzy Reed, as well as the three other official band members, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese.
Montreal will definitely be metal that week, as Metallica – the other band associated with the 1992 riot – will perform two shows at Olympic Stadium on August 11 and 13.
Tickets are on sale from February 24 on the evenko website.
