Gunman Kills Three High School Employees in Bosnia

The attacker, who attempted suicide after his act, is hospitalized in a serious condition.

Three employees of a high school in Bosnia were killed on Wednesday, August 21, on the premises of the establishment by one of their colleagues. He opened fire with an automatic rifle, before attempting to commit suicide, the local police said.

The shooting occurred shortly after 10 a.m. in Sanski Most, in northwestern Bosnia. “This man who used a military weapon, an automatic rifle, killed three school employees, and tried to commit suicide” on site, cantonal police spokesman Adnan Beganovic told national radio BHR1.

He added that the attacker, who was seriously injured, had been taken to a hospital in Banja Luka. The police did not comment on the attacker’s motive. According to local media, he was the subject of disciplinary proceedings and shot his colleagues during a meeting to prepare for the start of the solar school year.
