Americans are crazy about their guns more than their children. This quasi-religious veneration of lethal weapons and of their right to carry them in self-defense “out of place” (!) compared to a natural benevolence towards others. However, violence brings violence, weapons call for other weapons, mistrust generates more mistrust… It is this loop of systemic acceleration (in other words, this vicious circle) that they must stop. […] One day or another, the United States will have to launch a pan-national project with the help of billions to reflect, exchange, discuss, debate the health of their society and their fellow citizens, the art of living together, their way of conceiving the relationships they have with others and, more concretely, the means to cure all these desires for killing, whether mass or not… […]
