Guillaume Canet tackled by Alain Chadat in the “Late Show” on TF1

This is THE bet of TF1 at the end of 2022. The first channel is trying to make this American concept work and which has never really caught on with us, the late show. This mix of entertainment that mixes a pinch of news, promotion, comedy, musical interludes, and especially on the valves and the repartee of its host. A complex challenge to which several like Cyril Hanouna, Michaël Youn, Arthur or Antoine de Caunes have rubbed shoulders and not necessarily with great success.

In ten numbers already recorded, this time it is Alain Chabat who has decided to put on the costume of “performer”. The actor and TF1 went all out by inviting real French stars to open the ball on Monday, November 21. Among them, Guillaume Canet, who came to talk about his new film Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom. And for his premiere in the “Late Show”, the father of young Marcel was not spared by the former member of “Dummies”.

It must be said that Alain Chabat has already cut his teeth as a director by directing the adventures of the most famous of the Gauls. In 2002, the actor achieved a performance of choice by bringing together a group of stars in Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra. Around names like those of Gérard Depardieu, Christian Clavier, Monica Bellucci or even Jamel Debbouze, the comedian had then produced a real masterpiece.

So with Guillaume Canet sitting in the guest chair, Alain Chabat did not bother. “In any case, I wish you all the best for your Asterix. Even if it’s true that it’s hot to pass after me“, he launched to the comedian. “I was a little taken aback by what you said to me.“, then replied the great friend of Leonardo DiCaprio. “I just want to say that there you go… how cult my film is! I just wish you good luck. I wouldn’t like to be in your place“, concluded Alain Chabat. “This is what many people tell me and repeat to me constantly so thank you“, ended the actor, smiling at the corner of the lips.
