This Thursday, May 5, 2022, Yann Barthès was again at the helm of the “Daily” program. At first, the host received Laurent Laffite and Omar Sy, who came to promote the film in which they are showing, namely “Far from the ring road”. A feature film which is none other than the sequel to the film “On the other side of the ring road” released in 2017, and which is available from this Friday, May 6, 2022 on Netflix.
Alongside them was present Thierry Breton, the European Commissioner in charge of industrial and digital policy. The latter had meanwhile come to talk about new bills to limit the economic domination of large platforms and the dissemination of illegal content and products online.
While Yann Barthès was interviewing the two actors, Thierry Breton decided to play journalists as well and did not hesitate to ask his own questions, notably mentioning the difference between a contract with Netflix and the cinema. Something to annoy Internet users very quickly on social networks.
And against all odds, after choosing to stay during the interview with the actors and after asking them a few questions, Thierry Breton abruptly left the set live: “I’m leaving you, see you soon” he launched without embarrassment. Amused, Omar Sy then reacted by saying: “This outing is great”. And Yann Barthès to retort: “Star outing, thank you for coming”.
