Tensions remain high in Guadeloupe on Sunday November 21 after a night of violence. In duplex from Pointe-à-Pitre, the journalist of France Télévisions Diane Schlienger explains that currently “The situation is rather calm but the next few hours will be crucial because it is always at nightfall that the most virulent demonstrators erect new barricades, set fire to garbage cans and cars”.

Diane Schlienger explains, after having exchanged with demonstrators, that they “do not intend to let go of the ground”. She adds that these “want concrete negotiations with the government”. Of side of authorities, new clashes are dreaded. “I remind you that last night, there were 37 arrests of individuals, some of whom were armed”, she specifies in the 20 Heures de France 2.
