With his brother Igor, he was one of the figures of the popularization of science. Former television host Grichka Bogdanoff died at the age of 72 in a Paris hospital, his agent announced on Tuesday (December 28th). “Surrounded by the love of his family and his loved ones, Grichka Bogdanoff passed away peacefully, on December 28, 2021, to join his stars”, wrote his family in a statement sent by his agent.

The two brothers had notably presented the popular science and science fiction program “Temps X”, broadcast on TF1 in the 1980s, where they evolved in a spaceship setting with their futuristic suits. Recently, Grichka Bogdanoff had, with her brother, a project to cover their show with the Canal group.

Their scientific works had also aroused controversy and they had drawn the wrath of part of the scientific community, criticizing the “low value” of their work. The two brothers were also the subject of legal proceedings. They had been sent back in January to correctional for “swindle”. The trial was scheduled to take place on January 20, 21 and 27, 2022.

The announcement of this death sparked emotional reactions from television personalities. “I have just learned of Grichka’s disappearance, I am really very affected”, reacted on Twitter the host Cyril Hanouna, who received them regularly on his set. “Very saddened by the death of my friend Grichka Bogdanoff. My best thoughts go of course to Igor”, said journalist Eric Naulleau on Twitter.
