Grenoble hockey players challenge Angers from this Tuesday in the final of the Magnus League. An unprecedented final in which the Burners of Wolves will start as favorites.
Three years that French hockey was waiting for this, to find the flavor of a final series. After a white season in 2020 and one without final stages in 2021, because of the pandemic, the Magnus League will play well in a best-of-seven-game final between Grenoble and Angers.
First time that Dukes and Burners of Wolves meet at this level
A logical duel between the two best teams of the regular season, but also an unprecedented final, between two clubs which had never met at this level before. First of the regular season, Grenoble will have the advantage of receiving the first two games on Tuesday and Wednesday, and therefore to play in front of his public a possible seventh game on April 17.
Better attack and better defense, Grenoble is the favorite
Strengthened by their first place in the regular season, the best attack (242 goals in 53 games!) The best defense, and the biggest budget in the championship, the Grenoble residents have all the cards in hand to win the Magnus Cup once again, even if Angers are the team that has upset them the most this season. The Angevins have beaten Grenoble twice out of the four games played this season. Angers which in its history has never been crowned champion of France.
