The unforgettable Gabriel in the hit series Ten percent is back, but on TF1 this time. It is in the Rebecca series that Gregory Montel once again demonstrates her talent, alongside single mom Anne Marivin or even Benjamin Biolay. The series tells the story of a woman named Rebecca, who makes the decision to resume service with the police, six years after having given up on the hunt for a serial killer. And she is convinced that the latter and the author of the crimes she must investigate. Between memory loss and a personal revelation, the hunt promises to be difficult. A project on which the 45-year-old actor confided in Star TV (November 15 edition)
Grégory Montel plays Henri Baumann there. A character with whom he risks astonishing viewers. “If I love playing empathy – my business as in Ten percent – playing damaged characters interests me all the more if they are against my personality. With Gabriel, I was in slippers. There, it’s more work, a lot of funk because I come up against the eternal question of credibility“, did he declare.
But Grégory Montel likes to take up challenges. Especially since he exercises a profession for which he has a real passion. From the age of 13, he knew he wanted to try his luck on stage. But he waited until the age of 25 to start, because he wanted to go to law school and law school first. “It transformed me. (…) The more I work, the less I want to take the lemon out of this profession which is a priori the most beautiful in the world. At a time when cinema and television are quite disturbed, the actors are also there to give a positive impulse“, he clarified.
But, despite the passage of time, there are always scenes that are more difficult for him to play. “I am terrorized by love scenes. It’s a very cumbersome concern that I manage to use by telling myself that modesty can be very poetic. I don’t have a body that I like, it’s not necessarily fashionable, but that’s okay, it makes me unique. It’s important in my job“, he concluded.
