Grégory Lemarchal: His last sentence pronounced just before his death revealed by his father

Died at only 23 years of cystic fibrosis, Grégory Lemarchal left behind his fans, his relatives, his family but also his darling of the time Karine Ferri. On June 16, on the occasion of the inauguration of a medical structure in the name of Grégory Lemarchal in Rueil-Malmaison, his father Pierre revealed to France Sunday the last words that his son would have pronounced shortly before his death.

Courageous and determined, the former winner of the star Academy (which he won in 2004) would have asked his relatives to encourage all those suffering from cystic fibrosis to never lose hope. “One of his last words was to a friend by his bedside, we were there and he said: ‘Above all, tell them never to give up‘. He was always thinking of others, that was the message he wanted to convey to all those who suffer from this disease, do not forbid yourself anything, as long as it is possible“. Magnificent words for the courageous young man who succumbed to the disease on April 30, 2007.

On Instagram, the Grégory Lemarchal association created in 2007 – which finances major research programs against the disease, helps patients and their families and raises awareness of the need for organ donation – shared a moving snapshot for pay tribute to the singer, who died fifteen years ago. Karine Ferri, great love of Gregory Lemarchal’s life, was present alongside her former parents-in-law Pierre and Laurence and their daughter, Leslie Lemarchal. The opportunity to highlight the Gregory Lemarchal house, a unique structure in France which will welcome patients with cystic fibrosis.
