One of the first to react is producer Jon Cassar on Twitter : “My friend Greg Itzin passed away today. He was one of the most talented actors I’ve ever had the chance to work with, but more than that he was an incredible man. The family will miss him. family 24, who had nothing but love and respect for him. You left your mark, now rest in peace my friend”, he wrote. A message accompanied by a photo of him with the deceased.
A student at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Gregory Itzin was predestined for a career as a theater actor. It is finally in the cinema and on television that he revealed himself with in particular figuration in Is there a pilot on the plane ? (1980), Teen Wolf (1985) and small roles in Dallas, Mentalist, Beverly Hills 90210, Hannah Montana, Star Trek and Friends. But it is above all his ruthless character of Charles Logan in 24 hour clock which made him famous. This series earned him two Emmy Award nominations in 2006 and 2010 and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 2007.
On the private side, Gregory Itzin had been married to Judie Itzin since 1979. They had two children, Wilke born in 1986 and Julia born in 1989. We do not yet know the date or the place of the funeral of Gregory Itzin, but one thing is safe: its former partners in 24 hour clock will no doubt be there to salute his memory.
