Representatives of Greenpeace showed up at the Canadiens’ tailgate party around 5 p.m. in Montreal to protest the presence of the RBC logo on the team’s jersey on Wednesday.

“No to RBC and its oil staining my sweater, fueling the climate crisis, and trampling on the rights of Indigenous peoples. RBC is helping to destroy the planet,” said Louis Couillard, Advocacy Officer for Greenpeace Canada.

The coup took place peacefully.
