Green Bay Packers | Quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ contract extended

(Green Bay) Aaron Rodgers has officially signed a contract extension that guarantees MVP of the past two seasons to remain with the Green Bay Packers.

The club made the announcement on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the NFL Network reported that Rodgers would make more than $150 million over the next three years.

The 38-year-old Rodgers announced a week ago on Twitter that he would be returning to Green Bay for an 18and season, but that no agreement had been reached at that time. Immediately after the season, Rodgers said he wasn’t sure if he was going to be back, ask for a trade or retire.

The structure of this pact would aim to help the payroll of the Packers. According to NFL Network, Rodgers’ salary will count for $28.5 million under the cap this season, $18 million less than what his impact would have been without the new contract.

Rodgers spent his entire NFL career in Green Bay. His future with the organization has been the subject of speculation since the Packers traded to move up four draft spots and selected Jordan Love in 26and first-round rank, in 2020. Rodgers even missed team activities and mini-camp last year when he fell out with management.

However, he had made it to camp on time. After indicating that he wants a say in day-to-day affairs, he has often said in recent months that his relationship with management has greatly improved.
