In Greece, student demonstrations degenerate: around ten injured are recorded. The latter have been demonstrating for more than two months against the arrival of new private universities: “This bill declares the death of free public education. It destroys our future, our professional rights and our diplomas”, testifies a student. If the debate rages, the demonstrators intend to maintain pressure on the government.

Germany prepares for Ramadan

Crescent moon illuminations in the streets: after London, Frankfurt is the first German city to install decorations to celebrate Ramadan. The city’s environmentalist mayor explains this choice: “There are more than 100,000 people of Muslim origin in Frankfurt: we wanted to make a gesture for peaceful coexistence and against racism”.
