On Monday April 11, the Greek authorities asked UEFA to ban Marseille fans from attending OM’s Europa League Conference quarter-final on Thursday, at PAOK Salonika. The violence that occurred on the outward journey, last Thursday, around the Vélodrome stadium and in the city of Marseille, serves as a pretext.
This ban, if decided by UEFA, may only be in principle. A manager of one of the main groups of Marseille supporters told AFP after the first leg that the planned trip to Greece was canceled.
“The club regrets that its supporters are deprived of encouraging their favorite team, but respects the decision taken by the Greek authorities”responded OM in a statement.

These indicated that the implementation of the measure banning the movement of Marseille supporters has been applied in the past during other matches away from the French club.
