Greater Montreal | Six drug traffickers arrested, as many firearms seized

The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) on Wednesday arrested six drug traffickers operating within the same network in the West Island and seized as many weapons.

In addition to firearms, the SPVM seized cash, cell phones and various quantities of crack cocaine, cannabis and fentanyl.

The arrested suspects, all between the ages of 28 and 50, are due to appear soon to face several charges related to possession of firearms and drug trafficking.

The Organized Crime Division of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) made the arrest while investigators from the West Organized Crime and Drugs Section conducted searches in Côte-Saint-Luc and in the boroughs of Ahuntsic–Cartierville, Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Saint-Laurent.
