Greater Montreal | Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by a driver

A septuagenarian is in critical condition after being hit by a driver making a left turn in the Sud-Ouest borough.

The accident occurred shortly before 2:35 p.m., at the corner of Allard and Beaulieu streets, not far from the Monk metro station.

According to information gathered by officers from the Service de police de la ville de Montréal, the woman was crossing rue Beaulieu at the intersection when a vehicle coming from the east, on rue Allard, allegedly made a left turn before bump into her.

Note that rue Beaulieu is not particularly wide since it is one-way. Crosswalks are also present at this intersection.

Unconscious, the pedestrian was transported to a hospital in the Montreal region in critical condition.

Investigators will go to the scene to try to establish the circumstances of the accident.
