In the territory of the Saint-Laurent borough, Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse will be completely closed in the west direction, between rue Deslauriers and boulevard Montpellier. This heavily used axis of the municipal network also serves as a service road for Highway 40 West in this sector.

Several detours will be planned, notably via Lebeau, Côte-Vertu and Cavendish boulevards, as well as Côte-de-Liesse Est and Dunkirk roads. But that’s not all. Contraflow traffic will be in place on avenue De Lorimier, in Ville-Marie, between boulevard René-Lévesque and rue Sainte-Catherine. This barrier will be in place Saturday and Sunday, all day.

In the southwest of the island, Bridge Street will be completely blocked between Wellington and Saint-Patrick Streets, from Friday evening to Monday morning, due to work related to the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) project. The latter will also force the implementation of contraflow traffic on Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard between Marc-Cantin Street and Highway 15, from October 16 to November 3.

Please note: various other local obstacles could be expected this Sunday, in connection with the Great March of the Pierre Lavoie Challenge. Avenue du Parc and rue Saint-Urbain could, among other things, be affected, since the departure and arrival will be from Place des Festivals on rue Jeanne-Mance.

Outside of Montreal, two of the four lanes of the Laviolette bridge linking Trois-Rivières to Bécancour will be closed throughout the weekend. Only one lane will therefore remain per direction. Users coming from Montreal or Quebec are invited to plan their trips accordingly.
