Great return of cruise passengers in Quebec

The nine ports of call in Quebec that welcome cruise ships expect to receive no less than 300 calls this year, which marks the strong comeback of cruise passengers in Quebec.

Some 460,000 visitors will therefore land in Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Saguenay, Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Gaspé or the Magdalen Islands, i.e. almost 200,000 more than last year, which marked the resumption of operations following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Last year, we set the 2025 season as a goal to achieve the same performance as in 2019 and we are very confident that we can achieve it sooner than expected,” said René Trépanier, general manager of the company. St. Lawrence Cruise Association.

The 2023 season will also be the longest to date, with a first stopover on April 23 in the Îles-de-la-Madelaine and a last in Quebec on November 5.
