A grandmother and her granddaughter were shot and killed in Montreal during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, confirmed the Service de police de la ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The 73-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in the Pointe-Saint-Charles district and her 22-year-old granddaughter was seriously injured. She died in hospital shortly afterwards.
No suspect has been arrested so far and the reason for this double murder is obviously not known.
Police found the two women following a 911 call around 2:40 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing and forensic identification technicians were expected Thursday morning to analyze the crime scene.
