Grand Mess’ | A new creation of Circus Machine in Quebec

The Quebec circus collective will present a parade-show called Grand-Mess at the Saint-Charles church in Limoilou from January 31. An event presented as part of the Quebec Carnival.

The acrobatic show, which will feature 14 performers, will be directed by Martin Genest who has notably worked with Cirque du Soleil (Joyà). Circus machine, which celebrates its 10e anniversary this year, describes this new creation as an “immersive experience” and an “acrobatic parade”.

“Chaotic and festive gathering, Grand-Mess is a celebration where we try to find – with humor – a common meaning to our absurd existence. Because life is a procession that never stops and that we do not choose to follow. It has no meaning – or rather it only has one: forward! », summarizes the collective led by Vincent Dubé.

The experience Grand-Mess is divided into three parts. A pre-show prelude during which the spectator will be able to explore the Saint-Charles de Limoilou church; the parade-show, which is at the heart of the event, and an after-show which closes it all. The piece will be presented until February 24.
