After the agreement signed between Ukraine and Russia, kyiv hopes to resume its grain exports. Ukrainian grain farmers hope to sell their wheat stock.

The granary of this Ukrainian peasant should soon be emptied of the tons of wheat it shelters. Three days after the signing of an agreement between kyiv and Moscow, the Ukrainian authorities want to be reassuring. Cereal exports are expected to begin this week. “We expect the deal to start working in the coming days.“, said Oleksandre Kubrakov, Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure.

An optimistic prospect over which hangs the fear of seeing new bombardments, as was the case last Saturday on the port of Odessa. Strikes justified today by the Russian authorities. The agreement signed on July 22 notably provides for the opening of secure corridors in the Black Sea for a period of four months. In return, Russia has seen Western sanctions against it eased. It will also be able to export its cereals to other parts of the world. Since the start of the war, 25 million tonnes of grain have been blocked in Ukraine.
