We discover the Côte-Nord by road, but also by the belly.
After a successful pilot project last year, Le Road Trip Gourmand is back in good and due form to allow visitors to get to know the many local producers scattered all along the magnificent Route 138, from Tadoussac to Natashquan.
Whether it’s the boreal spreads from Chez Julie Boutique du Terroir in Havre-Saint-Pierre, the amaretto made from the fruits of the mountain ash from the Quebec North Shore Distillery, from Chute-aux-Outardes, blueberry and jalapeno sauce (yes, yes!) from Petit jardin du Nord, in Sept-Îles, or Le Goynish smokehouse in Aguanish, it is strongly recommended to put a cooler in your trunk to fill up on gourmet discoveries.
Although about fifteen merchants are associated with the Road Trip Gourmand project this year, there are no less than a hundred restaurants, cafés, boutiques, artisans and producers on the North Shore. Enough to reoffend year after year!
