Ultra-gourmet walk among the terraces of Quebec
In order to celebrate its 10e year of activity, the company CELEB’Événements, which organizes epicurean routes highlighting the businesses and products of the Quebec region, is offering special activities on June 16. For the occasion, two tempting packages will each bring together up to 500 guests, in the Petit Champlain district, on Place Royale and in the Old Port: the Gourmet Promenade ($54), with visits to 13 restaurant terraces and so many bites ranging from tuna tataki to pâté en croute, including maple profiteroles; and, for those who are even more gluttonous, La Grande Tournée ($76), which will push the experience up to 20 terraces and 20 bites inspired from all continents. Note that these activities will take place at the same time as the Folk Expression festival, so that walkers will be rocked by several free concerts throughout their walk. It promises !
Blooming terraces in Montreal
Is it the appeal of the terraces or the approach of the Grand Prix and festivals that stimulates the emergence of attractive places in Montreal? Whatever the reason, we are delighted to have new addresses to visit, with friends or, why not, for Father’s Day. Let’s think first of all of Pangea, a bistro and terrace as bright as a Mediterranean beach which turns into a festive superclub in the evening. To discover in Old Montreal, just like the Terrasse Maya, a concept that merges the bohemian spirit of Tulum and the hectic nightlife of Dubai. Again, the location is spectacular, and the menu spawns here with Latin flavors. For a breathtaking view of the river and an electrifying atmosphere, head to the Boa Vida Yacht Club, a huge terrace located on the Jacques-Cartier wharf, where parties and meals of seafood or grilled meats happily rub shoulders. Finally, a little further north, you can take a look at the Carla terrace, where you can enjoy cocktails and fusion cuisine at 7e floor of a beautiful building in Chinatown, on the Bivouac terrace, which overlooks Place des Arts and offers a sophisticated boreal menu, or at the brand new Muze Lounge Terrace, a tropical oasis with Californian cuisine led by chef Gregory Fay.
