Gorka Sarriegi was born and raised in Fontarrabie, Hondarribia, a village open to the ocean, to maritime culture and linked to fishing, but also to music, traditional or more modern.
At 19, with other musician friends, including Urbil Artola, Ritxi Salaberria or Mikel Errazkin, Gorka created the group Sorotan Bele, which marked the history of folk music in the Basque Country.
At the end of the 90s, Sorotan Bele announced its dissolution, and Gorka continued his solo career.

In his album “Gorka Sarriegi”, released in 2000, Gorka still plays the guitar, on melodies that are a little more pop rock, very successful, dancing: as soon as he sings, we recognize his voice, with a very marked identity. , very personal.
