Automatic cell phone correctors are evolving and extending to grammatical and even stylistic correction. This feature will soon be integrated into Gboard and SwiftKey alternative keyboards.

This might be the end of spelling and grammar mistakes in text messages. Our phones will soon be equipped with a sort of public writer, which will go much further than current automatic correction systems. Automatic correctors that take one word for another are often lacking: we are in a hurry, we don’t proofread and the phone writes nonsense!
With artificial intelligence, correction will no longer be done word by word, gradually, but over entire sentences. In addition to spelling mistakes, this will also make it possible to flag agreement and conjugation errors.
It will not be a separate application, but a function directly integrated into the keyboard, the one that appears as soon as you have something to type on your phone or tablet. So this will work in all apps, not just messaging. The option should be available in the coming weeks on Google’s Gboard and Microsoft’s SwiftKey keyboards.
Automatic rewriting in another style
This upgraded keyboard will also transform into a public writer. When a sentence or paragraph is written, it will be possible to request a reformulation in a more formal, funnier, or more poetic style… And if you prefer to communicate with images, it can also generate a “gif” ( small animation) or a “meme” (comic images that we see on social networks).
For the moment, the preliminary version only exists in English. And, as with Chat GPT, you will still have to be careful of errors of interpretation.
