The Quebec feature film Goodbye happiness by Ken Scott will be part of the competition for the International Comedy Film Festival in Alpe d’Huez, France, including the 25e edition will take place from January 17 to 23 in Isère.
For the occasion, the director and the producer Christian Larouche will be on site, accompanied by the four actors of the film, François Arnaud, Patrice Robitaille, Antoine Bertrand and Louis Morissette.
For Antoine, Bertrand, it will be a double at the festival since he is also part of the film’s cast Three times nothing by Nadège Loiseau.
Goodbye happiness is a dramatic comedy in which four brothers return to the family home on the Magdalen Islands to spread the ashes of their recently deceased father. This is an opportunity for everyone to take stock of their own life and their place in the family.
The film premiered on the evening of 1er December in the Magdalen Islands. The Montreal premiere will take place on Thursday, December 16.
At the Alpe d’Huez festival, Mr. Scott’s film will be screened on January 21. In the past, two films by Ken Scott, Starbuck and The great seduction (he signed the screenplay, the film being directed by Jean-François Pouliot) were also seen at this festival camped in a ski resort at an altitude of 1860 meters.
