Highs and lows
In 2003, Mike Weir became the first Canadian and the first left to win the Masters Tournament, played in Augusta, Georgia. This tournament is one of the four major tournaments in golf, along with the United States Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship.
Subsequently, “Weirzy” suffered several injuries during his career which undermined his performance on the pitch. In 2015, he even announced he was taking a break from golf following his breakup with his ex-wife, Bricia Wier.
The Sarnia native gave a lot of credence to his relationship with his new partner during his victory at the 2021 Insperity Invitational.
“She has been by my side at every stage of my life for several years,” he said. Having him by my side here is very special. At this stage, we want to win, but above all we want to savor the pleasant moments with our loved ones. It takes a lot of pressure off.”
Before meeting the golfer, Money had participated in the 15th season of the American reality show “The Bachelor”, broadcast in 2011.
