(San Francisco) Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $35 million, according to two people with knowledge of the negotiations.
The people spoke Friday on condition of anonymity because Kerr has not yet signed the contract. The annual value of the contract would represent a record.
Kerr is on his 10e season with the Warriors and his current contract ends at the end of this campaign.
Kerr, 58, recently won his 500e match. He led the Warriors to four NBA championships.
