Just over a week after being shown the door by the Boston Bruins, Bruce Cassidy would become the head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights.

Cassidy had been in the role since February 2017 and went 245-108-46 in 399 games behind the Bruins bench.
In his second season in Boston, he led his team to the Stanley Cup final. The following season, he won the Jack-Adams Trophy.
