(Las Vegas) Chandler Stephenson capitalized on a rebound 1:12 into overtime to find the net and give the Vegas Golden Knights a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Sunday and a 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals.
Jonathan Marchessault forced overtime with a shot just 2:22 from the end of the third period.
Stephenson, Marchessault and Mark Stone each had a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights. Adin Hill stopped 26 shots.
Miro Heiskanen and Jason Robertson scored for the Stars. Ryan Suter had two assists while Jake Oettinger made 21 saves.
All four East and West final games went into overtime, a first in NHL history. The Stars are also the fifth team to lose four overtime games in a single playoff run.
Game 3 is Tuesday in Dallas.
