The ignoble which is added to the drama. In Etoile-sur-Rhône, a woman in her thirties attempted to set herself on fire at a supermarket service station on Monday evening. As of Tuesday morning, a video of the facts was running on social networks.
A young girl from Etoile received these images on her cell phone, it was her horrified mother who sent them to the mayor of the town, Françoise Chazal, to alert her.
The elected official immediately informed the police and asked the author of this video to remove all traces of this “atrocious scene”.

The mayor is beyond indignation: “I can’t even figure out how anyone can do this sort of thing.” She specifies: “The police are trying to find the source and we have reported it to social networks to have this video removed, because showing the images of such a drama for the sake of the family is unacceptable.”
This Tuesday the victim is still in critical condition at the burns hospital in Lyon. Francoise Chazal, who knows this resident of Etoile well, finds it difficult to hide her tears and adds: “I’m thinking of her and her family and wish she can get over it.”
