Mr. Legault,
I am deeply disgusted by the amendment to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act (IVAC), which limits the duration of benefits to 3 years. This is unacceptable and penalizes people who have experienced the most serious crimes. The duration of incapacity to work is a question for the treating physician and not the government. Your government has billions needed to make a useless third link, but not enough money to help those and especially those who are truly in need following a criminal act that affects them the most. I can only hope that your government reverses this irresponsible, penalizing and unacceptable decision.
