The verdict was in August 2016. Giuseppe Polimeno had been sentenced to two years in prison, one of which was suspended, and to pay 4,000 euros in damages to his former partner Hinda. The latter, with whom he had a child, had filed a complaint for malicious phone calls, repeated death threats, harassment and violence. So the contestant of season 1 of Who wants to marry my son ? (2010, on TF1) had been placed in pre-trial detention, then returned to prison, in Grasse, after the court ruled. Invited by Jordan De Luxe on his show The moment of luxury, he returned to this case.
Monday, November 8, our colleagues from Star TV spoke about this interview available on Télé Star Play. Thus, we discover that the son of Marie-France evoked the facts with which he was accused: “She said I harassed her. Indeed I had harassed her over the phone. His girlfriend whom I know neither from Adam nor from Eve was to say that I had hit her. (…) The prison, I went up because of it. Nothing is true. I got screwed sincerely (…) I didn’t go upstairs because I harassed her, I went upstairs because I supposedly hit a woman I don’t know.“
According to Giuseppe, this decision is unfair. Especially since, still according to him, it was sentenced only because the two women knew important people. “Yes, we don’t put people in jail for nothing. But when you have the step-dad who is a divisional commissioner, whom you take as a lawyer, the niece of the judge by marriage … (…) Besides, you know what the prosecutor told me? He said to me: ‘You are as arrogant as on TV‘”, he explained. Then, he confided that his daily life in prison was”easy“, that he is”immediately mixed with the other inmates“. Now that this case is behind him, Giuseppe hopes to be able to make his return to television.
