Giro | Alberto Dainese wins the 17th stage in the sprint

(Caorle) The Italian Alberto Dainese (DSM) won in the sprint the 17e stage of the Tour of Italy on Wednesday in Caorle, in Veneto, before three days which promise to be terrible in the mountains.

He won ahead of his compatriot Jonathan Milan (Bahrain) and the Australian Michael Matthews (Jayco-AlUla) in this stage, which was almost completely downhill, without the slightest bump in the program.

Four stages from the end, the Briton Geraint Thomas (Ineos) still wears the leader’s pink jersey with respectively 18 and 29 seconds ahead of the Portuguese Joao Almeida (UAE) and the Slovenian Primoz Roglic.
