Gilles Bouleau treated as an “asshole” by Eric Zemmour after the 8pm news on TF1

Eric Zemmour entered the presidential race on November 30, 2021, first by announcing his official candidacy, putting an end to weeks of speculation, then by going the same evening on the set of TF1 during the television news at 8 p.m., facing Gilles Bouleau. Unmissable stages but during which the attitude of the polemicist continues to spill a lot of ink, a few days after his middle finger in Marseille. Obviously nervous and annoyed by the journalist-star of the first channel, he ended up cutting him off at the end of his speech to indicate that he was not questioned about his political program. In front of BFMTV, he then called the host of “attorney“and even insulted him, off, calling him “asshole” according to The Parisian.

Now in the interviewee’s chair after having been a successful polemicist on television, Eric Zemmour has not succeeded in making people forget his remarkable lack of composure during his visit to Marseille. Accustomed to being in conquered ground on the chain trays which regularly mediate his words, he had difficulties to unfold his ideas on the set of TF1. “It was an interview with a prosecutor. In front of the others, [Gilles Bouleau] withdraws, politely, humbly, sometimes in a larval way. (…) With me, he revealed a pugnacious prosecutor, in bad faith, taking the sentences in my book out of context. (…) He wanted to be clever in front of his colleagues“Said the reactionary essayist at the microphone of BFM after his televised performance, recalling then that TF1 was a big popular channel for which he has respect. To close his passage in the premises of the chain, he has, according to information from Parisian, launched a “asshole“to the address of the star presenter of TF1.

The TF1 channel defended the journalist by declaring that [Gilles Bouleau] “has the freedom of his questions, the guest of his answers“:”[Il] led this uncompromising interview nor animosity as with each of his guests.“Even Robert Ménard, mayor of Béziers close to the author of France has not said its last word and Marine Le Pen, criticized Eric Zemmour’s attitude by addressing him directly via BFM: “Eric, you don’t remember how we talked to Marine Le Pen on a number of television sets. You are not the only one to be pushed around. The role of journalists – and I’m a victim of it often – is to push you around, it’s very unpleasant, but that’s how it is. (…) Coming from him, who doesn’t hesitate to push others around. I find that there, he has the wrong target“A difficult start to the campaign, also marked by numerous complaints by those whose images were used without authorization for their campaign video.”A quarrel of jurists“- his explanations on TF1 – which he will leave to his lawyers. The latter will also have to deal with the complaint that the former editorialist of the Figaro files for invasion of privacy against Close.
