This Thursday, April 14 took place the Premiere of the series The First Lady at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles. The opportunity to see a host of stars walk the red carpet for this glamorous presentation. This series which honors the wives of presidents allows us to find Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson (seen at Cannesseries recently). Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis (The colour of feelings) completes this very prestigious female cast.
They were also all together for the presentation of the Showtime series. Michelle Pfeiffer presented herself on the arm of her husband the producer and screenwriter David E. Kelley to whom we owe, among other things, Emergency room Where Big Little Lies. The two lovers, who were soberly dressed in a black suit for the lady and a black suit with a blue shirt for the gentleman, have been married since 1993. The actress plays Betty Ford in the series, the wife of President Gerald Ford.
Gillian Anderson, seen in Sex Education, landed the role of Eleanor Roosevelt. Almost obvious for the one who embodies a woman of power in The Crown where she plays Margaret Thatcher. This Thursday she appeared sublime in a flashy pink ensemble with her blonde hair pulled back to pose alongside her on-screen partners. The latest news, the actress had rekindled the flame with her ex, the creator of series Peter Morgan at the beginning of the year 2021. The two lovebirds had found themselves after a brief breakup or the screenwriter had been seen elsewhere.
Kiefer Sutherland and Dakota Fanning were also part of this prestigious presentation evening. The series will particularly focus on the most important and impactful decisions in the history of the White House, those made, often in the greatest secrecy, by complex and charismatic First Ladies such as Michelle Obama, Eleanor Roosevelt or Betty Ford…
