The day after a third early loss in the preseason schedule, head coach Martin St-Louis paired Anderson with Cole Caufield and Suzuki; the latter, however, wore a shirt prohibiting contact. For his part, Drouin evolved in the company of Sean Monahan and Joel Armia.
The other two lines consisted of Rem Pitlick, Jake Evans and Emil Heineman, as well as Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Filip Mesar and Xavier Simoneau. At fullback, Justin Barron, Jordan Harris and Mattias Norliner skated as one of three pairs of defensemen. Samuel Montembeault and Kevin Poulin defended the net.
Injured in the upper body, Anderson represents a case assessed daily. For his part, Drouin was to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, but being ill, he was replaced by Juraj Slafkovsky. Suzuki (lower body) still has hopes of starting the campaign on time.
The Habs will visit the Ottawa Senators on Saturday at the Canadian Tire Centre.
