“Getting drunk singing all day”, Marie-Anne Chazel reveals her biggest regret after touring with Nolwenn Leroy

A new musical personality will have to prove himself on the small screen as the headliner of a series. After Julien Doré (Panda) or Louane (Visions), it’s the turn of Breton singer Nolwenn Leroy to try her hand at acting for a new TF1 series.

In
Brocéliande
, the 41-year-old singer plays the role of Fanny Legoff, a renowned biologist returning to a university on her Breton lands, 15 years after the enigmatic disappearance of her best friend, for which some suspect her of being responsible. And this return will become even more complicated when one of his students mysteriously disappears in turn.

To support her in this new exercise, the singer was able to count on Medi Sedaoun (What have we done to the good Lord?), Thomas Jouannet, Lorànt Deutsch but also the renowned actress Marie-Anne Chazel, who plays the protagonist’s mother. And during filming, there was no room for music, to the great regret of Nolwenn Leroy’s playing partners.

“She never wanted to!”

Invited to present the series at the Canneseries festival which runs until April 10 on the Croisette, Marie-Anne Chazel shared some anecdotes about filming, notably after an a cappella interpretation of one of the songs from the series by Nolwenn Leroy. “You’re lucky because she never wanted to sing during filming. We tried to be mean, to lure her, to offer her money, nothing to do, she never wanted to! “thus regrets the actress of Tanned.

The singer, however, wanted to justify herself, explaining that “the opportunity never presented itself”. “I didn’t want to get you drunk singing all day. I said to myself, ‘If I start humming all the time, after three months, they’re going to cut my vocal cords!’ It was only at the end of filming that the teams expressed their regret to the former Star Academy winner: “I said to myself ‘damn’!”she admits in a video published by the festival.

Filmed over several months during 2023 between Brocéliande, Rennes and Paris, the six episodes of the mini-series should be broadcast by the end of 2024 on TF1. Last July, the singer notably expressed her sadness on Instagram at the end of filming, with a photo captioned with a simple “There it’s finished” and a tear-in-the-eye emoji.
