Getaway | A beergarden signed BroueMalt and La Confrérie

Located in Saint-Donat, Le BroueMalt is doing it again this summer with its magnificent beergardenwith the difference that this time we decided to partner for the entire season with the restaurant La Confrérie, from Terrebonne, which bought a new street food truck specifically for the customers of the Lanaudoise brasserie-bistro.

“Last year, we called on different food truck, people appreciated that the offer changed, but we fell in love with La Confrérie, says Fannie Bessette, co-owner of BroueMalt. We had a meeting at the start of the season to get a general idea of the menu, but we trust them completely. So there are always tacos on the menu, with fish and tao chicken, there’s a deluxe poutine, a fish’n’chip, burgers, tartares and salads — we offer a veggie offer at all times. »

That’s for the fixed menu, because La Confrérie also offers special evenings — BBQ, oysters or pizza in the wood oven — as well as dishes chosen each week according to themes that come up every month. “The themes are poutines, burgers, tacos and a hodgepodge, but the offerings change from time to time,” explains Ms. Bessette.

During our visit, we were able to taste the chicken wings with tao sauce, delicious and very meaty, perfect with a Cheops, IPL smash with guava tea. “The welcome is wonderful, the customers are happy, the fact that they wait less for the food means that they enjoy a better overall experience, supports the young brewer. No need to recruit for kitchen service, and we know how difficult it is these days. The people at La Confrérie are used to serving a lot of people, it’s one of the best business decisions we’ve made so far! »

As of this writing, around 6,000 people have already visited the beergarden de BroueMalt, which can accommodate almost 180 people. “It’s very family-friendly, there are a lot of people who come with their dogs, there are lots of tourists and vacationers, cyclists, hikers, motorcyclists, says Fannie Bessette. It’s very accessible, there’s nothing stuffy about us, people can let their children play without any problem, it’s super friendly, and we close at 9 p.m.; we don’t serve shooters here! »
