That’s small consolation for the Habs, who suffered a 3-2 overtime loss. On the sequence that occurred behind the net of goalkeeper Marc-André Fleury, the Hawks player threw his rival on the ice, but no penalty was imposed.

This verdict of the referees contributed to inflame the frustration of the head coach of the Canadian, Dominique Ducharme, and his men who saw the decisive goal of Chicago confirmed in extra time after a long video review.

Philipp Kurashev’s net was validated despite heavy contact between goaltender Samuel Montembeault and two players before the puck went behind the goal line. In addition, Kurashev’s entry into the territory was considered good, even if he presented himself before the puck which he fully controlled according to the officials.
