The Germans will play their quarter-final well at home. In a very lively meeting, with many opportunities missed by a hair’s breadth, the Mannschaft won over Denmark (2-0), in the round of 16 of Euro 2024, Saturday June 29, at the Signal Iduna Park stadium in Dortmund. Author of a very great match, Kai Havertz opened the scoring in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot, obtained for a handball in the area. The lead was then doubled by Jamal Musiela, finding the small net.

The German players started the match at a furious pace with four good attempts in the first ten minutes of play. A first opportunity found from the start by Nico Schlotterbeck was invalidated, as well as another goal at the end of the match, for -game. In the second half, the Danes experienced exactly the same situation before being penalized and offering the saving penalty for the Germans. Although Christian Eriksen’s men did not undeserved, the opportunities were undeniably more numerous on the German side. The Mannschaft will meet, in the quarter-finals, the winner of the eighth-final between Spain and Georgia.
