The West does not forget Ukraine. This is the message sent by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, visiting Kiev, who announced on Tuesday, November 21, new military aid of 1.3 billion euros to Ukraine. According to Boris Pistorius, this includes four new Iris-T SLM air defense systems, delivery of which is scheduled for 2025, and artillery ammunition, which Ukraine sorely needs.

Berlin’s “solidarity” reaffirmed
The minister, who came to kyiv on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the pro-Western Maidan revolution, had in the morning assured Ukraine of “solidarity” from Berlin. However, he said nothing about cruise missiles, requested for months by Ukraine to strike Russian positions, warehouses, command centers and supply lines far behind the front.
Germany, which fears they could be used to strike inside Russia, has been procrastinating for months, while Kiev insists the long-range weapons are key to forcing the Russian military to beat retired.
