In Germany, the country wants to fight against the forgetting caused by Alzheimer’s disease. In order not to forget yourself, photos are a good way to find your past. In Germany, there are nearly two million patients suffering from this disease. It gradually destroys neurons, causes forgetfulness and changes personality.

A specialized reception center in Switzerland

In Switzerland, a house for people suffering from early Alzheimer’s disease was built to accommodate them. Here, no nurses or medical staff, but around ten patients, aged between 40 and 60, who liveswind together. A family atmosphere like in a shared accommodation, down to one details: In the bathroom there are no mirrors. If this private experience is conclusive, public services could take up the concept.
