Gérard Prêcheur is the new coach of the women’s section of PSG

This is no surprise for absolutely anyone since Gérard Prêcheur has already been working for several weeks at PSG, but it is now official. The 62-year-old technician is therefore the new coach of the women’s section of Paris-Saint-Germain.

Gérard Prêcheur’s contract is for one year with an optional additional year. With 20 years of experience in women’s football, the native of Nancy won two Champions League with Lyon (2016, 2017). The technician who started his work on July 22 at PSG arrives with his son Jocelyn who is an assistant coach but also with two physical trainers.

“Being able to join a club as prestigious as Paris Saint-Germain is an exceptional opportunity,” reacts the new female coach. “I am very honored to have been chosen to start this new cycle and I thank the Club for its trust, starting with the President. I am now impatient to start this new season. Our team has some very talented players and I believe we can achieve great things together.” warns Gérard Prêcheur.
