The toll is increasing… Since the launch of the “Al-Asqa flood” attack led by Hamas, clashes have continued between Israel and Palestine. “We are at war, it is not a simple operation or a cycle of violence, but a war”declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately while the Israeli army launched Operation “Steel Sabres” by carrying out its first airstrikes on Gaza in retaliation.
But while the clashes and rocket fire continue this Monday, October 9, 2023, the human toll is already chilling. According to the Israeli government, more than 600 people were killed while in Gaza the Hamas health ministry counted at least 413 dead, including 78 children.
A human catastrophe which has already caused the international community to react. Indeed, Emmanuel Macron immediately took the floor to support Israel: “I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks currently hitting Israel. I express my full solidarity with the victims, their families and loved ones“.
Other public figures were also quick to speak out in support of the Jewish state. Karine Ferri, Patrick Bruel, Cyril Hanouna, Arthur, Gad Elmaleh have indeed posted a message of support via their respective social networks.
