“Gérald Darmanin must resign, he is in a permanent lie”, denounces Yannick Jadot

“Gérald Darmanin must leave his functions“, assures Yannick Jadot. After the rally last Saturday against the “mega-basins” in Sainte-Soline, in Deux-Sèvres, where two demonstrators were seriously injured, Yannick Jadot, MEP EELV, guest of 8:30 franceinfo, Friday 31 March, on request the resignation of the Minister of the Interior: “Gérald Darmanin must leave office because he is not up to the credibility that a Minister of the Interior must have to guarantee public freedoms in our country, including the right to lie, in particular about the use of LBD”, he charged.

“The state is illegal”

Yannick Jadot continues his point: “He lied about weapons of war, he lied about the Brav-M. He lied. He has just been taken over by the Council of State because he had announced that a prohibited demonstration was an offence. It’s wrong. So he is in the permanent lie. This is unacceptable in the Republic.“

Shortly before, the MEP had noted that “Today, this government and state is illegal. (…) You have about ten pools that have been stopped by the courts precisely because there is a sizing problem. There is a problem of water resources. The State lets these basins continue to be built. You have basins prohibited by law in Charente-Maritime, they work today.“
