The minister asks the prefects to plan a presence “static and visible” law enforcement in front of places of worship and buildings “the most sensitive or emblematic“. “The security forces (police and gendarmerie, editor’s note) will naturally not be able to carry out these missions alone”writes the minister in a dated telegram. “Also, it is up to you to requisition the Sentinel soldiers for this purpose”he adds.
The Minister of the Interior also calls for the implementation, in front of religious schools and from Monday, of “systematic static guards at student entry and exit times”. Gérald Darmanin also calls for establishing “regular passages of police and gendarmerie forces” in front of the “specialized shops”.
