“Of course, there are things to improve.” In an interview given to Parisian, Wednesday, July 20, Gérald Darmanin announces the forthcoming creation of a law enforcement education and training center. The new structure, which will see the light of day in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne), will aim to train the police in the management of demonstrations in particular. “What did not exist until now”specifies the Minister of the Interior.
The tenant of Place Beauvau presents the fight against delinquency as the priority of the new police chief Laurent Nunezwhile it was the management of public order that was at the heart of the debates on his predecessor Didier Lallement. “The Minister of the Interior, the police and the gendarmes must above all enforce the constitutional right of the French to demonstrate, even when they are marching against the police! It is our honor”recalls the Minister.
