A shooting killed a young man and injured two in downtown Montreal on Tuesday night.
The first two victims were found near the Georges-Vanier metro station, which forced the interruption of services there “due to an intervention by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM)”, confirms the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) at To have to.
The homicide reportedly occurred around 8:00 p.m., at the corner of Saint-Antoine and de la Montagne streets, opposite the Bell Center. But the victim was found dead in a car, in front of the Georges-Vannier station, a few streets away, with another injured victim. They are two men in their twenties. The man who survived remains “in critical condition”, and was transported to the hospital, specifies the SPVM.
The SPVM also specifies that it was a person in a moving vehicle who allegedly fired on the victims.
Another man was therefore found, also “in critical condition”, at the corner of Saint-Antoine and Saint-Martin streets, specifies the SPVM.
A security perimeter was established in the area, and the SPVM major crimes unit was dispatched to investigate the situation.
